The World Economic Forum just kicked off with senior U.S. and Chinese officials gathered in Switzerland on Tuesday, three days after Taiwan elected its new president.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang claimed the Chinese regime’s GDP hit 5.2 percent in 2023, but Frank Xie, professor of marketing at the University of South Carolina Aiken, is skeptical about the numbers.

Many believe the tensions between the two superpowers could be on the rise.
