Beijing Launches Cyberattacks Against Taiwan

Warfare isn’t just missiles and military drills. Cyberattacks also go hand in hand. A form of what’s called cognitive warfare, they appear to be among the Chinese Communist Party’s top choices in its toolbox.

According to a Taiwan official, the island’s government, military, and businesses have suffered nearly 300 cyberattacks in a matter of a few days.

Many were reportedly done by civilian hackers.

But analysts warn of the presence of a Chinese Communist Party cyber warfare team, called the “Strategic Support Unit.”
