A Belgian politician was kicked out of his party after he was accused of working with a Chinese spy ring for several years.
Former Belgian senator Frank Creyelman belonged to a right-wing party. He served in Belgium’s Parliament from 1995 to 2014, at one point holding an important foreign policy position.
Leaked messages show that he collaborated with a Chinese spy ring to influence European policies and harm U.S.-European relations on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party.
