Biden Admin to End DNA Testing at Border

Meanwhile, a report says the Biden administration plans to end familial DNA testing at the border. The aims of such tests are to prevent fraudulent parental claims.

According to a memo obtained by Just The News over the weekend, Customs and Border Protection will stop the DNA testing once the contract with its vendor expires at the end of the month.

The CBP memo says the FBI will still be handling forensic DNA collection, which is separate from the CBP program.

The familial DNA testing started during the Trump administration. Its goal is to stop illegal immigrants from using children to create fake family units in order to cross into the U.S. A report from the government accountability office in 2022 found that one-tenth of the children tested turned out not to be related to the illegal immigrants crossing with them.
