The Wall Street Journal reports that the Biden administration is on its way to easing sanctions against Venezuela so that Chevron can resume pumping oil there. Venezuela will reportedly have to cooperate with the country’s opposition and hold free and fair elections in 2024 in exchange for sanctions relief.
