Biden Administration May Reverse Trump’s China Policies

A China policy official for the incoming Biden administration suggests his administration might reverse some Trump era China policies. That includes reversing the exposure of Chinese state media journalists, easing visa restrictions, and restoring a closed Chinese Consulate.

The United States added a Chinese oil giant to an economic blacklist. This would make it much harder for American companies to do business with it. The sanction company is China National offshore oil corporation or CNOOC. It’s one of the largest oil companies in China. The Commerce Department has sanctioned the company because it helps the Chinese military bully China’s neighbors in the South China Sea.
