Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen hinted at a stronger U.S. support, including potentially defending Taiwan militarily, in her recent interview with CNN, while Chinese leader Xi Jinping further reiterated his commitment to “reunification.” How will it pan out as global tension focuses on the Taiwan Strait and the U.S.–China relationship?
