In particular, lawmakers are worried President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act would give millions of dollars to Chinese firms through tax incentives. They’re also worried an aggressive push for renewable energy would also benefit China, because China has a lot of the minerals and resources needed to build these so-called green products, such as electric vehicles and solar panels.
