President-elect Joe Biden bid his home state of Delaware farewell in an emotional speech. He gave farewell remarks to about 100 people before flying to Washington to be sworn in.
Joe Biden spoke from the National Guard headquarters in Delaware, named after his deceased son Beau, to say farewell.
Biden thanked the people of Delaware on behalf of his family and thanked the state for electing him to the Senate many years ago. He proceeded to borrow a line from the Irish Poet, James Joyce, who said when he dies, Dublin will be written in his heart.
