U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that “it is vitally important how Israel conducts its operations,” while asserting that the conflict between Israel and Hamas “needs to move to a lower-intensity phase.”
Mr. Blinken expressed his desire to see “a shift to more targeted operations with a smaller number of forces” during an end-of-year press conference in Washington on Wednesday.
Israel has been fighting Hamas in Gaza since the terrorist organization carried out massive attacks on Israeli civilians and military posts on Oct. 7, 2023.
