Co-stars Alec Baldwin, Lisa Kudrow, and Steve Buscemi attended the New York premiere of the new animated film from DreamWorks on Monday night (March 20).

Baldwin made the evening a family affair by walking the red carpet with his wife, Hiliaria and two of three of their young children, Carmen and Rafael.

“Those movies are—take a long time to draw them and they really play with them a lot, in terms of getting it right. So we come in maybe 10 times, maybe12 times, a little bit more over the course of the 2 years, 3 years that we do those kind of films. And it’s great, it’s a really easy, breezy kind of way to work,” said Baldwin.

The animated comedy, which will be out in theaters on March 31, features Baldwin as a suit-wearing baby who manages a corporation for babies and who is adopted by a family about to undertake a covert mission.

Friction and comedy ensue as the baby bumps heads with his older brother, Tim, who doesn’t like all the attention his younger brother receives, as the baby ultimately becomes the boss of the house.

The story is loosely based on the 2007 book of the same name by Marla Frazee, who called Baldwin’s casting timely.

“The fact that Alec Baldwin’s voice comes out of that character and he’s so perfect and so funny and so topically for right now it’s really astounding,” Frazee said.

The veteran actor, most recently known for his impersonation of President Donald Trump on the U.S. late night comedy sketch show, Saturday Night Live, gave a young reporter a tutorial in how to portray Trump on the carpet.
