Severe and somewhat strange weather affected New York, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.
More than a foot of rainfall brought flooded streets and high river levels into Missouri. Water levels continue to rise near record levels in the state.
In western New York, flooding driven by winds sent water from Lake Ontario into towns near Rochester. Flood watches and warnings were issued for the entire Lake Ontario shoreline.
Almost a foot of snow affected western Kansas and parts of Nebraska. Highways in Kansas were closed as a result.
