In the UK, the day after Christmas—Boxing Day—is one of the biggest shopping days of the year.

This year, retail foot traffic dropped 60 percent on Boxing Day compared to last year.

Large parts of the South of England, including London, are under the highest level lockdown. In those areas, foot traffic dropped by 76 percent. London’s iconic shopping streets in the West End were all forced to close.
