BP Executive’s Husband Caught Insider Trading

Tyler Loudon, 41, admitted he secretly listened in on phone calls of his wife, a BP executive, and then made trades based on the material, non-public information he gleaned. He has agreed to surrender his $1.8 million in illegal profits, and he faces a fine of up to $250,000 and up to five years in prison. BP has fired his wife, and they are now going through a divorce.
