Brexit: EU Offers Eased Trade Controls for Northern Ireland

The great Brexit brawl headed into its next round on Wednesday when the European Union made concessions to improve trade in Northern Ireland. The EU’s top Brexit official called it “an alternative model” to the Northern Ireland protocol. The U.K. though is insisting on a further, fundamental change.
