Britain Takes Royal Swan Census

Britain’s royal swan census is back on the River Thames a year after it was put on hold due to the pandemic. During Swan Upping, cygnets, or young swans, are plucked from the water, measured, weighed, checked for disease, and marked with a number to assess the growth of the swan population.
