There are many forms of domestic violence; it can be physical, emotional, sexual or psychological. Domestic violence is when a person uses force or threats to manipulate a person.
Domestic violence has a vast impact on the character, well being and health of a person abused either men or women.
It also has an effect to the children who witness this; it can be a traumatizing experience for them and would affect their self esteem and character.
Usually domestic violence occurs between partners with intimate relationship. Other women/men being abused let it pass and refuse to file a case as they fear for their lives while others can’t because they love their abusive partner.
In Changzhou China, a video was taken of a shirtless man beating her wife in public. The man was pushing, punching and kicking her on the body and head. The wife wasn’t running away from his abusive behavior and was just crying as he violently attacks her.
The abusive man walked near the disturbed neighbors to provoke them, so these people decided to teach him a lesson. It can be seen in the video that a group of people run after the husband and started beating him.
Surprisingly, the battered wife was stopping the people from beating her husband. She was pulling the people away from her spouse, covering him from them. This wife was talking to the people trying to protect him from harm.
According to the video report, in some places witnesses hardly ever mediate because domestic violence is believed to be a private issue that should be settled by the couple or the people involved.
Domestic violence is a serious crime. Mistreated individual must run away from this kind of relationship.
