The Department of Transportation (DOT) says the upcoming holiday travel season will be some of the busiest in U.S. history and travelers should be prepared for a busy time.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg also warned travelers to be wary of potential bad weather on Wednesday, but added assurances from the DOT that travelers whose flights are significantly delayed are entitled to a full cash refund.
