California Lawmakers Introduce Bill to Increase Bridge Tolls to Fund Public Transit

A bill that would temporarily raise the tolls on Bay Area bridges, tackled its first Assembly hurdle and passed through its first committee hearing. Legislators say the bill provides much-needed transportation funding to prevent service cuts on public transportation.
