California Lawmakers Propose Letting Voters Decide on Harsher Fentanyl Punishment After Setbacks in Legislature

This week officials announced a constitutional amendment that would ask voters to implement “Alexandra’s Law.” This law requires convicted fentanyl dealers to receive a warning. That warning would empower prosecutors to file homicide charges if the dealer continues to sell fentanyl and causes a death.
