Despite electric vehicle and power grid challenges, by 2035 California will require all new cars and passenger trucks sold in the state to be zero-emission vehicles. And the governor just signed a law that will ban gas-powered lawnmowers and other gardening equipment too. That could put landscaping businesses in a difficult situation. But lawmakers on both sides are worried about something else.
