The association head for Los Angeles deputy district attorneys says they are recalling the district attorney because of his failed policies and a rise in crime. He said this is the first time the association has tried to recall a DA.

Los Angeles’s city controller warned of the slow progress on a proposition to house the homeless. His warning comes as the city began its point-in-time homeless count, which it skipped last year.

An Orange County city is looking into purifying saltwater with only renewable energy. The plan is part of a new power system certain cities in the county are using, supplied totally from renewable sources.

Voters graded how the state’s public schools are doing. The marks are much worse than the last poll from a decade ago. Many voters lost faith in the schooling system after pandemic lockdowns.

One of the largest pipe organs in the world is returning to its home in Orange County. The massive instrument was shipped overseas for 10 years’ worth of repairs.
