California now cannot criminally charge pregnant women for stillbirths or miscarriages. The announcement comes in response to two cases of women losing their unborn children after using drugs.

Since the weekend, health workers who have tested positive for COVID-19 are allowed to return to work. The state’s health agency cites surging cases and staffing shortages.
