Snowfall in warm spring temperatures has brought some potential relief to California’s water conservation concerns. Scientists found higher than average snow at measuring stations in Sacramento. This snow can feed the ecosystems that provides water to California residents.

California had a state of emergency declared due to drought issues, and enforced strict water conservation measures. The new findings will hopefully either end, or at least ease the measures in place.

California as a whole has experienced 150 percent more snowfall than is usual for this time of year. Scientists found nearly 4 feet of snow at a site in Sacramento.
