A subsidiary of Chinese state-owned telecom giant “China Mobile” will stop operating in Canada. The subsidiary, CMLink, said on Tuesday that the Canadian government ordered it to end its operations by early January.

In June this year, President Joe Biden signed an executive order placing China Mobile on a blacklist. Americans and U.S. institutions are banned from investing in it.
