It’s simply adorable to watch this cat “calling” its owner, an American soldier, to come in quickly while desperately waiting for him behind the closed door.
Somehow the cutie pie senses that it’s military “daddy” is about to walk through the door. Its just so cute watching it leap to reach the door-lock in an attempt to open it.
The most interesting part of the video clip is around :59, when the soldier walks in and says, “What’s going on? Buddy.. it’s me..” The cat that can not wait any longer now finally jumps high to reach the Daddy’s arms to give him a big affectionate hug.
Indeed its such a heartwarming and refreshing welcome that would melt away anyone’s fatigue.
Cats are the kind of pet that seems generally disinterested in people (that is, unless they want something), while dogs are known more for their love of their masters. There’s a reason why dogs are called “man’s best friend,” after all. But cats often surprise us. They can be just as loving and caring as the average dog, as evident from this short video.
So often these touching military-pet homecoming videos show dogs, not cats. But this beautiful, super sweet scene proves once and for all that dogs don’t have a complete lock on human friendship.
