Census: February Retail Sales Up 6.3 Percent on Last Year

Retail sales fell back in February compared to January but are still up over 6 percent in February last year.

Business data firm Refinitiv says the latest numbers are positive. NTD talked to its retail guru Jharonne Martis, the director of Consumer Research. She says despite lockdowns lifting, retail spending is ultimately up to the customer, but the latest data shows many are still reluctant to leave home. They’re still working from home, worried about the virus, and still waiting on the vaccine results. NTD asked what this means looking forward.
