But meanwhile, the late author’s French publisher says it has no intention of making changes to the translated versions of the books. And the official spokesman for the prime minister weighed in, saying Rishi Sunak “agreed with the BFG that we shouldn’t gobblefunk around with words.” NTD spoke with Kate Clanchy, an award-winning author and teacher, to discuss the edits.
