Cherry trees in early bloom have transformed this Japanese town into a wonderland

Winter has almost receded and spring is slowly taking over the world with its flowers and fragrance. Cherry blossoms have long being celebrated as a voice of the spring. Their cheer and beauty enlivens everything around them.

This year, cherry blossoms started blooming in Kawazu town of Japan, earlier than the rest of the country. Netizens from the region couldn’t hold their excitement and joy and posted many images on the instagram.

Kawazu, which is about 3 hours by train from Tokyo, is well-known for it’s Kawazu Cherry Blossom Trees. They start blooming in February, almost a month before the rest of Japan’s other Cherry Trees. The town of Kawazu has around 8,000 of these beautiful trees. The yearly Blossom Festival can attract about one million people, according to Kawazu’s official website.
