Britain’s Chester Zoo made a list of top 10 newborns from 2018, including some of the rarest and most at-risk species in the world.
The video features, among others, critically endangered Western chimpanzee Stevie, UK’s first ever sun bear cub, as well as a clutch of rare baby ‘forest dragons’ hatched at the zoo, helping conservationists in a research about the reptile species.
The zoo in northern England suffered serious damages over the weekend after a fire broke out in its Monsoon Forest sectionon December 15, the largest indoor zoological building in Britain, forcing an evacuation.
Local media reported that a number of exotic animals, including small birds, fish and frog, were killed in the fire.
