No joke as driver travelling at 70mph is left with huge hole and bird in car bumper. Chick magnet… Car was damaged but bird walked away from the accident unharmed.
If you’ve been unlucky enough to hit an animal when driving, you’ll know how this motorist felt when he plowed into a chicken crossing the road.
Huang Lingyong, was left with more than just a grille chicken in his bumper following a strange incident near his home.
The thirty one year-old was at the wheel of his Toyota Corolla, travelling at around 70mph, when the incident occurred. “I thought it must be dead but then I heard a cluck-clucking”
He heard a thud as the bird hit his car as it zoomed along, but miraculously the fortunate chicken survived the crash.
It turned out the bumper was actually a cheap copy and not the original, according to the car dealer who sold the vehicle.
“I braked because I am an animal lover and didn’t want to harm the chicken,” said Lingyong.
“I stopped the car, got out and walked around to the front. There was a hole in the bodywork and the chicken wedged inside.
“I thought it must be dead but then I heard a cluck-clucking and bent down to look closer. It was a little shaken up and its feathers all ruffled, but otherwise OK.”
He added,“It seemed to me to be a very good advert for the durability of chickens and a very bad one for the quality of the car that I was driving.”
