The head of state-backed newspaper Global Times announced Thursday he would step back from his job. Hu Xijin, known for embracing China’s aggressive, wolf warrior-style in his reporting on foreign affairs, wrote that he “would continue to do [his] best for the [Communist] Party’s news and public opinion work.”
