China: 30,000 Shoppers Held for Emergency Testing

In southwestern Sichuan, over 30,000 people were held for hours by authorities outside a shopping center. Staff placed the entire shopping center under emergency lockdown.

And all shoppers were forced to get virus-tested for COVID-19 on site. They weren’t allowed to leave until results came back negative—all because one suspected virus patient had paid an earlier visit to the building.
