China Blacklist Strands Australian Coal Exports

China is refusing to import Australian coal. Over 50 Australian ships have been waiting at Chinese ports for at least a month, wanting to unload their $500 million in coal.

China claims the coal doesn’t meet environmental standards. We talked to Riley Walters, a senior policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation. He believes this reason is “bogus.”
