China Breaks Ground on Naval Base in South China Sea

A military base is under construction in the South China Sea. And it’s tied to the Chinese Communist Party.

A Chinese-funded upgrade to a Cambodian naval base broke ground on Wednesday. Western media have been reporting on Beijing’s alleged helping of Cambodia—to secretly build a naval base there.

Beijing now admits to its involvement. The project stands to bring big change to the region—militarily and economically.
