The coronavirus, or CCP virus, is forcing many countries to rethink their relationship with China. We dig deeper into the local level and look at Washington state where patient zero was first discovered in the United States.

Senate Democrats block a virus relief bill for the second day in a row. They say it fails to do enough for families, but Republicans criticize them for delaying funding for workers and small businesses.

Over 1.5 billion people globally were told to stay home to avoid spreading the virus. The UK is the latest to join lockdown. And in the United States, federal agencies will build four emergency hospitals in New York City this week.

NTD refers to the novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, as the CCP virus because the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mismanagement allowed the virus to spread throughout China and create a global pandemic.
