China Pressures Politicians Over Taiwan Event

On Sunday, alongside the U.N. climate summit, Taiwan held its own environmental event. Not being a member of the U.N., Taiwan couldn’t take part in the summit in Glasgow. It came amid reports that some Scottish Labour politicians received letters from the Chinese consulate in Edinburgh pressuring them not to attend Taiwan’s event.
