China Reels From Heatwave Amid Climate Talks With US

Even outside the meeting room, the U.S. envoy’s multi-day trip to China is ‘heating up.’

Scorching temperatures are raging across much of China with experts warning that the extreme temperatures could prove life-threatening.

In Southern China, temperatures in the city of Chongqing have hit as high as 98 degrees Fahrenheit in recent days, according to local weather reports, and are expected to rise in the coming weeks.
