China Restricts British Beef Imports

In the 1990s, China banned the import of British beef due to mad cow disease. It agreed to lift its two-decade-long restrictions in 2018 but has yet to restart buying. Now, China has reintroduced an import ban for cows from across the UK after UK authorities found an isolated case of the disease in Somerset.
