China Suspends Economic Dialogue With Australia

Tensions between Australia and Beijing are on the rise.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that it’s “legitimate and necessary” to suspend all activities under a China-Australia Strategic Economic Dialogue.

The CCP accused Australia of having a “Cold War mindset and ideological discrimination” as well as disruptions to “normal exchanges.” But they didn’t name any specific actions by the Australian side.
