China Tournaments Suspended Over Peng Shuai

The Women’s Tennis Association is suspending all tournaments in China—including Hong Kong. This is due to concerns over the safety of Chinese tennis player Peng Shuai, who accused China’s former vice premier of sexual assault last month. Steve Simon, the association’s chairman and CEO, announced the immediate suspension in a statement Wednesday afternoon.
