China-US Accounting Audit Deal Is ‘Delaying Tactic’: Expert

The U.S. audit regulator signed an agreement with its Chinese counterpart on Aug. 26, building toward an arrangement in which U.S. officials will be able to inspect the records of accounting firms in China and Hong Kong.

The deal might prevent over 160 Chinese companies from being delisted from American stock exchanges. U.S. regulators have identified them as being noncompliant with their audit requirements.

NTD spoke with Kevin Freeman, host of “Economic War Room” about the agreement and what it means for investors.
