China’s anti-lockdown protests reached boiling point in the central city of Wuhan—the city believed to be the original epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic.

People pushed barricades aside in Wuhan protesting China’s strict COVID curbs.

In addition, a large-scale protest also broke out at Wuhan University.

Students there reportedly demanded that they be allowed to return to their hometowns without restrictions amid a surge in virus infection cases in Wuhan.
