Chinese battery maker CATL recently built a second plant in central Germany and aims to have six production lines running this year.

The company is slated to become Europe’s largest battery maker. Once its facility in Hungary reaches full capacity in the coming years.

The Germany-based plant can produce 30 million cells a year. Enough to power about 350,000 electric cars. Approval to raise that capacity is expected in June.
