China’s Fertility Rate Could Become Lowest Globally

China’s fertility rate is on track to becoming the lowest in the world. That’s according to Chinese state-run media global times. In 2020 the country’s fertility rate was 1.3 children per woman. It’s the first time the rate has fallen below 1.5 since a nationwide census ten years ago.
