China’s New Swine Flu May Infect Humans: Study

China has seen a few recent cases of bird influenza—all of them infecting pigs. The strain is called H9N2.

Now, a study by the University of Hong Kong says the virus is re-combining with pig flu, producing a virus that may be able to transmit between humans and animals.
