China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi, told his Saudi Arabia counterpart in a phone call on Sunday that “Israel’s actions have gone beyond self-defense,” after Israel’s foreign minister criticized China for its lack of condemnation on the terrorist attack carried out by Hamas.
