Now it’s time for some tears, and China has just the commercial for you. Chinese new year is the biggest holiday for Chinese families – it is the biggest family holiday, and usually means the reunion for the whole family. This fourteen-day-holiday is the only time for many families in China to get together, especially if parts of the family live far away, often having to leave their hometown to find a better job.
In this clip, a family father has to teach his son how to walk a second time, after his son suffers a workplace accident in his twenties. It is so heartbreaking to see first the happy family celebrating together, and then just a few days later this accident, and then to see how sad everyone has become because of the accident. Most moving is the process of the son to recover from being a paraplegic because of the accident all the way of being able to walk again.
