Chinese State Company Wins Solomon Infrastructure Bid

A Chinese state-run company won a major bid in the Solomon Islands. It’s for a multi-million-dollar contract set to upgrade an international seaport in the country’s capital city.

The port reconstruction deal is part of a $170-million project and China Civil Engineering Construction Company will head it off. An official with the Solomon Islands infrastructure ministry revealed the company had been the sole bidder.
