Chinese Syringes Break in Patients’ Arms

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is telling health care providers to stop using certain Chinese syringes.

The faulty needles are made by Guangdong Haiou Medical Apparatus.

The FDA has received reports of safety concerns—detailing incidents where the syringe needles got stuck inside patients’ arms after injection. Needlestick injuries to healthcare providers have also been reported.
